Rev. Dr. Dorian Parker

​

Rev. Dr. Dorian Parker was born August 8, 1951 in Atlanta, GA to Master Chief William Julius and Dorothy Mae Parker: he is the oldest son and second born of six children. Rev. Parker married Christine L.B. Banks on March 14, 2015.

 
Formative Years & Higher Education

 

As a child of a Submariner, Rev. Parker was educated in the Connecticut, California, Virginia, South Carolina, and Illinois. He served in the United States Coast Guard receiving an Honorable Discharged in June 1971. Rev. Parker attended the US Coast Guard Academy from June 1969 to June 1971 before pursuing his education at Northeastern University in Boston, MA. After receiving an Associate Degree in Computer Information Services from New England Technical Institute, he returned to his pursuit of theological education acquiring his Bachelor of Science in Theology from Andersonville Baptist Seminary, Camilla, GA. He, also, attended classes at the Lowell University, Bentley College, and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary (CUME) in Boston, MA. Rev. Parker received his Doctor of Divinity Degree from Shiloh Theological Seminary.

Since 1989, Rev. Parker has served three Churches as pastor. He served the First Baptist Church of Woonsocket as Interim Pastor since January 9, 2005 until March 19, 2006 when he was installed as Pastor.
